This is an interesting question, Brooks.

My concept of validation has changed over the years. In the beginning it was about selling prints, exhibiting, and being published.

Now, sixty-five years later, validation is an international appreciation of my work, and the feedback that it has inspired others. This is the ultimate prize, and something I never imagined.

It comes with strong commitment and passion. However, the Internet has also played a large role; something not there sixty-five years ago.
