Praise for Seeing in SIXES 2016:
Brooks, congratulations on your publication of the book, Seeing in SIXES. You and your staff did an excellent job with this amazing publication. The printing and quality of the images are wonderful, just as I would expect from LensWork. ~ Steve Peterson Exceptional * Inspirational * Phenomenal * Unprecedented It is wonderful, fantastic, better than I could have (or did) imagine. With 1,900 entries, I don't feel so bad about not being selected. It is incredibly rich and varied in subject matter, style, and mood. Every photographer should get this book and study it. ~ Gary Anthes Book arrived yesterday. It's amazing cover to cover! Pleased with the book is an understatement. Even if my images were not published in it, it is one of the finest photo books I own and my library is fairly large. The work of 50 very talented photographers, 300 pages of incredible photography exquisitely printed, no ads, no reviews, no gear, and definitely no critics highbrow intro and commentary make this a remarkable treasure. ~ Robert Hansen Now I have it in my hands. It's great! A great job well done. ~ Richard James It's beautiful!! You hit it out of the park with this effort. Your dedication to quality is unmatched. ~ Jack Brinn |
Today I received the finished book, Seeing in SIXES. What a wonderful collection of work! I was a little disappointed when my submissions were not selected. But the finished product is outstanding and offers a lot from which we can all learn. Thank you! ~ Sam Elkind The book arrived yesterday and it is beautiful! Love the layout of images! Thank you for the opportunity given to photographers. Congrats to all who whose images appear! Well done! The rest of us will keep trying… Perseverance is a powerful thing, hopefully leading to substantial photo-graphic improvement. All good wishes! ~ Laurie Minor I was so impressed with the artwork and quality of the LensWork publication, I purchased the Seeing in SIXES book online right away. I was even more impressed with that publication, and the "SIXES" concept. Wow! It's not too strong a statement to make that I feel re-invigorated in my efforts in photography, and I am now working on getting an entry ready for the upcoming contest. ~ Dave Viens WHAT A MASTERPIECE. Now it's time to slowly assimilate those wonderful visual stories in the next weeks. Months. Years. The four copies I ordered arrived safely here in Paris. Already I can tell looking at the published materials will take some time to fully appreciate. There's so much great stuff in there. What an effort! Congrats on a job well juried, edited, and published. |
