Back from Utah
I'm back from my 10-day trip to southern Utah to photograph the canyon country. It was my first trip there and all I can say is WOW. What a fantastic place to spend some time with your camera.
Not surprisingly, my eye was strongly attracted to the abstracts I saw on the canyon walls. I've posted a couple dozen of them on my home page slideshow over at www.brooksjensenarts.com if you want to take a look.
Visit www.brooksjensenarts.com for more information about this and other work by LensWork editor, Brooks Jensen.
I was out there two years ago. It was like being on the moon. For an Eastcoaster, it was the most amazing area that I had ever seen. I'm still trying to edit down my web site - albenasphotography.com - to get rid of the "wow" and just leave the truly objectively special - a hard task. It is a photographic paradise.

Those are nice abstracts. Abstracts require too much concentration to be described with words. These abstracts do not have any reference for size. It was nice to see such liberated sharing without imposing anything.
