How about a 1 pound, rock steady tripod that folds to 12" and opens to 6'?

Cell phone reception everywhere is already possible but unfortunately would mean cell phone towers everywhere. To those of us who love wilderness and natural landscapes that is not an acceptable price.

Check out http://solarroadways.com/vision.shtml for a real innovation. Although they don't mention it I'll bet that cell phone technology could be rolled into this idea.

Well, if nothing else, maybe I can help with item #10. Check out the Oxo Good Grips Liquiseal mugs. I've never had one leak on me, unless I crossthreaded the lid. The only (very mild) annoyance is that you can't wash the lid in the dishwasher, as it would damage the seals.

If .7 leads still break for you, try .9 leads. There are not a lot of .9 pencils around, but there are enough. Pentel makes inexpensive ones; for fancy, try Parker or even Mont Blanc.

I would like a device that could be connected to all the world's leaders that would make them instantly have the insight that war/killing/dropping bombs on others is not a valid option. In the meantime, I would be happy with a release of Lightroom that does not have any bugs.

Brooks,

For your #5 try http://www.jetpens.com/index.php/product/view/?products_id=3219. It has a funky ratchet mechanism inside that auto-rotates the lead as you write to keep the point sharp. That might help with your breaking problems.

OXO makes a travel mug that doesn't leak. Every morning I fill one of these and toss it in my backpack to drink from on the train to work or at work. Here's the one I use: http://salesrepstore.oxo.com/OA_HTML/xxoxo_ibeCCtpOXOPrdDtl.jsp?section=10091&item=47318&minisite=10024&respid=53057

They have a line of them: http://salesrepstore.oxo.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=10091&minisite=10024&respid=53057

I have no interest in OXO. I'm just a very satisfied customer.

Ditto on the OXO mugs. In about twenty years of using commuter mugs, these are the best. Two years of using my OXO with no leaks yet.

I bet we see #2 in less than 5 years.

5. Pentel "Ain Stein" leads (yes pun intended) at jetpens.com http://www.jetpens.com/index.php/product/view?products_id=5935
(Careful - if you're a pen junkie you'll get addicted to this place)

Those tech will be here very soon
