Truth and Fiction
In spite of the evidence that is, upon reflection, self-evident, the idea that photography is objective and truthful pervades common thinking. This completely overlooks the process of selection that is inherent in every photograph that has ever been made. Photographs are a selected truth — and as such is more a reflection of us than it is about so-called objective reality.
