San Juan Bautista, Day 1
First day of real photography during the Road Show. I'm in central California near San Juan Bautista. About 7,000 (counting emotionally) school kids were there for a field trip. Funny how we fictionalize our images so they don't always represent what was actually happening at the time. I guess in the chaos of kids, I was feeling minimalist — at least that seems to be what I captured today, almost without exception. Here are three examples.
And one more, that doesn't fit with the above, but does reflect the solemnity and grace of the grounds. She has such a lovely face. Traditionally, Madonna's wear a blue shawl, so I tinted this accordingly. Might fit in my "work-in-progress" project, Hands of God, that I wrote about in LensWork #90.
I intend to go back in the morning. According to my Android app, Sundroid, the rising sun should be at a great angle to the main buildings about 6am. We'll see if I have the discipline to rise that early.
