I Photograph to Remember by Pedro Meyer
Twenty years ago, I stumbled across this project by Pedro Meyer. It was a CD publication that was cumbersome to install, but such a beautiful presentation. For me, it was an eye-opener. It was the first stunning example of the old photographic storytelling we associate with photographers like W. Eugene Smith, plunged into the world of technology-based presentations. Twenty years ago …
It is a testament to Pedro Meyer that he was not just a pioneer in the use of technology, but also recognized the importance of using technology as a servant to content. His story lives on in new technologies because it was not about technology. I've said for years that photography is not about light, but rather about life. Pedro Meyer understands, and has led the way for so many of us.
I want to acknowledge Pedro Meyer and this seminal work by simply recommending it to all of you. See their press release below. It is 35 minutes you'll never forget.
